Flounder giggin didn't go well, too many mullets in the shallows dirtying up water.

He said Chris let me help you before you get bit and then the shark bit right through his finger at the cuticle. roflmao

Pretty good morning in the cut.

Practicing my night photography for when I caught that six foot shark but the shark never came. I like this image except for the bait bucket in the background I think ruined it for me. Just imagine there's a six footer where that catfish is and the bucket is gone. grin

About to set the hook on what I'm sure is a giant, turned out to be yet another huge gafftop.

Looks like fun! We had a pretty similar trip on bolivar last weekend. Put close to a dozen small sharks on the beach. They eat great if you gut them immediately after whackin their head on the tail gate.

I had a shark bite my thumb last year. Made it hard to cast after we wrapped it up.

Sharks were thick we caught 10-12 ourselves but didn't keep any this time but I do like eating them.

Looks like it was a good trip.

Nice reds and specs!
Bryan Beach (the next beach up the coast) is 9 miles from my house.
I know a secret spot to have some fun pulling in 3' sandies. Need a small boat, or something to get to it.

Here's a fun fact. Quintana was founded in 1532.

Not trying to hijack your thread, just thought I'd throw this in as well.
