I'm wanting a light weight compact FFP scope specifically for mid range hunting 100-600 yds. Thoughts on this scope?

I'm sure it's fine. The new 3i has a ffp model and it's $1000 plus cheaper

They are hit or miss on qc. Get the low profile turrets as I understand they are the more reliable.

They are hit or miss on QC ^^Seen this before. Maybe they changed it, a while back I looked through one at a match. Reticle was waaaaay too thick. Look into that before spending the money.

Yea I have one with low profile turrets and tmr reticle it's a very nice scope with great glass. They've worked out some bugs so look at new or ask if anything was corrected on a used one. Had NF NXS before and happier with what I have now for sure
The one I have can be had under $1800 new

Shv glass sucks compared to a vx6 Haven't looked through shv but the NXS isn't close to Mark 6. I think Mark 6 is supposed to be a bit better than vx6. Mark 6 is gonna be Atacr level glass and I have only seen it compared to larger objectives. Haven't found a a comparison with atacr 42mm just 50+. I would think it's most comparable to atacr 4-16x42. Glass probably a toss up, reliability to atacr for long term range work, and weight still to the Mark 6 by 7oz. Haven't found the Atacr as cheap as the Mark 6 either yet
