I am inquiring if anyone else is seeing a positive result in their Bucks antler development while feeding Double Down Protein. I am just a few years into switching over to Double Down and am happy with the results thus far. My feed bill is more but my results have been worth it. This post is my personal observation only and in no way an attempt to bash another company's protein. This post is also intended as a comparison for other users of Double Down Protein. I do not work for Double Down nor do I receive a discounted price for using Double Down Protein. I wish I did because I pay about $150.00 more a ton than what I used to feed. I have seen an increase in antler growth to justify the expense.

How are you tracking the "increased growth" to justify the price?

You just could not let it go John. Don't you remember last year? How about Friday morning at the OST? The Ibex are doing good so I will even buy.

The sheds and pictures from previous year, we have seen an increase of up to 30 inches of antler growth in a buck that we felt had already maxed out.

That is a huge amount of growth in a buck that you thought had maxed out. That would make me keep feeding it if you think that is the reason for the growth.

Shoot John this can attest to how your bucks do on Double Down. Sheds from the previous year right next to the harvest pic.

Would like to see more info on this progression.

Have you compared rainfall numbers from the perspective years?

Are you big changes observed after switching from some other protein feed to DD or from no supplemental feed to DD?

I would agree redchevy, but this cull back had stayed the same for the previous 2 years with no change in antler size and was a mature aged buck.
Don't be a hater now!

This buck had been provided protein all his life and the last year of his life he had the pleasure of a new protein, Double Down as we're all the other deer on the ranch and as far as I can tell I saw a good jump in size on most our middle a ged bucks.

It's going to be hard to determine things with the weather. We're switching from deer that had a rough cpl of years starting out to some maturing that don't know what hard times are bc they've had no winters and record rains.

I did finally see that DD is getting advertised at a feed store on HWY 59 for the ETX guys heading North from Houston.

I'm not trying to be a hater, I just want the same thing that has been asked every time the dd posts start, show us the pictures and deer that back up the claims. I have yet to see any and I'm not gonna count that cull buck either.
