See camera land has minox for a good price. Just bought my nephew a youth 243 and wanted a decent scope that cAn handle the occasional bump from a 10 year old and hold zero. In same range I'd be looking at low end nikpns and low end vortex. Recommend one over the other?

Just picked up a AR and HR 243 for myself that'll need glass shortly so kind of interested also for those

I purchased a Minox from Cameraland several months ago. The price was good and I wanted to try them out. Mine is the 3-15X50. Have it on a Tikka 7-08. So far I like it. Good optics and have had no issues with it tracking. Very clear. I do not regret getting it.

I have a ZP5 and a ZX5, and both are excellent. Don't hesitate.

p.s. If you're interested, my ZX5 is actually for sale for a pretty great price because I want another ZP5.

Just purchased one myself. Haven't gotten it out in the field quite yet so I may not be much help but just looking through it, I think Im going to like it quite a bit. I got the ZX 3-9 x 50mm. Everyone I have talked to about them seem to rave about them. 2cents

I actually have four Minox scopes. They seem to be a good balue for the price (especially what Doug has them for now). Tryiing to slowly upgrade optics a bit, and these were at least a step up optically. Time will tell on internals.

I'll take the Minox over any Nikon or Vortex costing twice as much.

Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

Used one before. Zero complaints. I've read they are hit and miss but everyone of them I've seen or been around was good.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

The glass on the ZV actually seems as good as the ZA, but coatings seem to be different. Adjustments are crisper on ZA, but as I do not twist turrets (sight it in and leave it), I have not had any problems with the ZV scopes. I can tell you that the ZV line is made/assembled overseas, while the Za is assembled in Usa.

I haven't seen a minox product in years. Didn't know they they were manufacturing scopes, but if they're as well made as their camera's were back in the day, I'd imagine they're exceptionally well made.

I spent a week or so in a photography/imagry class during trainup for a for a gov contract and a couple of the cameras we used were manufactured by Minox. 100% mechanical, they were as well made as a wisss watch (and probably cost as much. The film spool on one was roughly a third of the size of a sewing machine bobbin, and the photos could be enlarged sinificanlty with zero grain using B & W film which was the norm. I bet one of those cameras would be worth a small fortune as a collectable.

I'mm curious to see what Minox is offeromg in scopes. I don't see that company making jumnk, not with their reputatin. Minox/Leica are as synonomous as Rolex/Breitling to watch afficionados.
