done a few dove hunts around DFW area, confused2 their was 3 in booklet few miles apart... Son, & a person had mentioned few times on here, he passed away, RIP, & i... Actualy had better luck around the house... Had cheep walkie-talkies, sit on each end of pond, bs back & forth, & let each other know if birds were coming... Or just walk the pastures & goat weeds.. Times we went it was pretty dry, crops weren't doing too good, it helped land owners out,i guess, not sure what they get...

In Minnesota they have CPR program, kinda like the WMA, it helps with the wildlife, winters can be tough here...

Best wishes ta all... flag

The last 2 years I have had a few foot and leg injuries which kept me from hog hunting but I did get out and do my first successful deer hunt last fall in the SHNF. SHNF is my go to spot all winter for hunting.

I like to hunt deer from December till the end of deer season and then it is hog hunting time till March. After that the canopy starts to get way too thick and it gets tough to see.

I plan on getting some night vision so I can take those last minute shots on pigs. No more hunting for 5 or 6 hours. From Now on I am going to show up in my spot 2 hours before the end of shooting time and be ready for them during the last 20 minutes like always.

Hopefully I will see a squatch out there because I am hunting him also.

cheers injuries will slow ya down... achery hunts, the fancy glow pins gave little extra time... Before that it was stay in stand till got quiet then try ease out with out lights & once established direction of movement, move stand, if pssible ta catch then alittle earlier... Just gotta do what works best for you... Best wishes...

That little set up ya have is pretty nice... That once N side of sabine ? cheers the low fence around feeder, keeps the hogs out... They knocked my tri-pod feeder over 3 nights in a row down by creek ... Ended up putting ol cable up & hanging feeder off it...
Several years ago, on trail cams, had roughly 9-12 hogs following creek... The neighbor hood dogs would stay once them, made tough ta pattern... deer would just out run the cyrcle, did effect some though...
Last lease had before sabine opened ta publuc wasnt too far from your place listed on your zig ... Good deer hunting, it was buck only, no hogs, lease sien road had some, it backed yo ta lake, small creek, we had no water on our léase...
Was down in texas when tornado hit Canton.... Not pretty site... Remember when it was just the little area coon & beagles... flag

Catalog for 2017-18 is out.

Good luck fellas. With my hunting partner going off to the Navy, looks like I may sit out on the draw hunts for next few years.
