not a hunting post but could be used if you lose your phone at the lease

Wife lost her phone in vegas airport - got home and found out it was lost. Clicked on Find my phone and there it was - in the bathroom in vegas airport - I shut her phone down and it showed message "if found call this number" - number was to my cell. I also set off an alarm.

I get a call from a lady in the airport at Southwest airline lost and found - said she heard a beeper going off in there lost and found storage and found wifes phone - so she called me. They overnighted the phone to me next day.

It is an awesome feature and app than save you alot of heartache if you lose your phone, someone elses phone or Ipad

Good to know. Fortunately I have never lost a phone. But I have used that Tile thing to find my keys in a hurry a few times.

How fast will setting off the alarm eat up the battery?

One thing to know is you have to sign in to 'find your iphone' or have it turned on. We lost an iphone and tried to do this but since I have never signed into that app it didn't work for us. I would recommend playing with those settings to test and make sure it works for your phone.

You trigger the alarm from your phone - so it is not continuous. The other feature is that it shows the battery percentage remaining of the phone you are looking for. When we were trying to get someone to notice my wife's phone my main worry was her battery would run out. I could see on my screen what remaining battery life hers had left - rather cool

My wife lost her phone at DFW. We used that app and the phone was found the next morning. Pretty cool.

Law Enforcement uses this a lot for stolen phones (which usually includes other property). I have had to use it a few times for my better half LOL.

My wife has lost her phone more than once. Just last month it fell off the ranger while at the lease. Found it with find my phone ap thingy. It was right on the ground where she left it. Haha

Have actually used this in the field. While sneaking up to some deer on my hands and knees, my phone fell out of my bibs. Didn't realize I lost till after the shot. Had to call my wife from my partners phone and activate the alarm.

Went right to it. I was off by about 35 yard.


Wasn't sure it would work even though it was on silent while I was hunting. But it was pretty loud.
