Looking for information.
Do you get the cell plan with the camera?
I saw a spy point or something like that and it sounded like 100 pics a month were included?
Any info appreciated.

Yes you have to get a data plan. The one I have is like 34.99$ every three months and is something like 34k pictures included there. This is with a covert wireless camera w/ ATT service. I have my camera on a 1 min interval and let it take as many pics as possible and don't worry about going over the data plan.

I have two coverts since 2014 and like them both. Yes you do the data plan with Covert. I dont know anything about the Spypoint.

Yes cellular plan needed but it's not as conplicated as you think. A SIM card came with my spartan camera including instructions to activate online. No trip into a wireless store required. Mine is like $34 for 3 months.
Save yourself some grief and avoid the SpyPoint. Coverts are good as mentioned above. I like my Spartan too.

I have switched over to all cell cams with solar panels and they have been running since December; panel and internal battery have not dipped below 75%

I also need a second-hand trail camera and I'm looking for some information.
Bushnell X-8 is another best value trail camera ( https://hunthacks.com/best-trail-camera-reviews/ ) that also provides outstanding efficiency. Like the other models, it runs on AA batteries, and with a set of 8 batteries it can work for 9 months.
