Can anyone that hunts this area give me an idea on what to reasonably expect as far as deer numbers go and quality of the bucks in the area? I'm currently looking at a property but have not seen any game cam
pics from the place.

What are you looking for.

High density/trophy/or just place to have and shoot a deer

How big a place and how many hunters on it.

Mule creek is south of town and depending on where you are the deer vary. Lots of pressure on the little places. The best trophy hunting in Haskell county is farther east closer to lake Stamford

The place I'm looking at is 640 acres with 3 guns. I'm looking for decent numbers with hopes of shooting deer of 140" yearly. Is that realistic?

A lot depends on your neighbors and how they are hunting with that amount af acreage. 1-2 mature bucks a year could be realistic in this area if your neighbors are letting bucks get to maturity. 3 mature bucks harvested would be too many for one section of land in this area of Texas. Mature bucks will average low 130s to low 140s, but you have potential for a few to score much higher.

Like Depending on what surrounds you the possibility of a 140 is there but you will more than likely spend several years looking for it. That's not a lot of country in an area that every 100 acres has hunters. You can expect to see from 0-10 deer a day in that area

There are some good size places around that has very little pressure and if you butt up to one of them than it would probably be a good chance. If the neighbors are smaller I'd say probably not.

Just 15 miles east I know of several ranches that 140 is an average mature deer. One of the bigger ranches I turkey hunt had a 197 and 165 taken year before last.
Last year they only shot management deer

We hunted just west of there and saw lots of deer with huge potential that were in the 150s and then the neighbors shot m. 600 acres wouldn't be enough land on that place we hunted. The place hunted small cause it was fairly open. If you blew deer out of tharea coming in you might as well go back to camp cause they would push everything in the area out.
It was great hunting and lots of deer but you had to hunt smart. We killed a 172 out there
