Dang squirrels are getting too much corn, and I see that the spinner plate (spring loaded shut off type) isn't closing off all the way. I'm sure I'm not the first to have this problem, so what do you guys do about it.

Adjust the plate closer to the barrel and lubricate the springs/chain links has worked for me

Every so often a corn kernel will get lodged in a chain link of The Eliminator not allowing it to spring back into place (I have no solution to this problem yet)

Mine got to where it would not close also. I used brake cleaner first then spray on lithium grease. That solved the problem.

Yep, shoot mine with a little lithium grease twice a year, and check for any obvious obstructions. Ought to do the trick!

Forgot to mention to you guys that I did the white lithium grease approach to the mechanism. Works fine now. Thanks.
