Why is this such a good deal compared to the ones going for around 1200 on gunbroker? Is one a gen1 vs a gen2?

That's a smoking deal. I have the same rifle in 300 MW.

I need a 308, but ideally something a bit lighter.

The one for sale is the Gen 1. I'm sure some people on gun broker still have Gen 1's at normal price, plus the Gen2s will be normal price as well.

Wall, are you sure the rebate applies? I thought it was only for their tactical models.

I don't have the original email anymore but this other one says the same thing. And I guess it depends on what's classified as "tactical", it specifically excludes SPS rifles. Perhaps because the 5R barrel says tactical rifling 1:10, only thing I can think of.
