I'm in the process of securing a quail lease near Aspermont. Wondering if anyone here knows what kind of rainfall that area has received thus far, and what the cover is looking like? Also, seeing any broods yet?

Old glory got 3.5" last Saturday. I'm sure Aspermont got hit as well. I thought the area was getting decent rains.

Web says that average rainfall is 23.7".
So far there's been 9.3", a little below normal. A couple of rains can make that up.

But if there's plenty of birds then all is well.

I just drove from Wichita Falls to Abilene. Just missed heavy showers from archer city to north of Albany. Rained from Albany to Abilene. Ditches were full and running from throckmorton to Albany
