Looking at the 5-25 with mil c reticle. Anyone currently running one? Pros/cons.

It's outstanding. Only con is if you want to do pure holds, farther than 1.0 mil away from center, and the price. Other than that, it is a Cadillac as to be expected.

Buddy of mine got a 7-35 with Mil-R. I had to draw him a chart designating what's what on that Mil-R, Nightforce really could improve that reticle.

Mirage was just enough that day, he couldn't use more than 25X. Will that always be the case? No, but I figure 25X is plenty.

What's the issue with the holds?

why would you have draw out anything confused2 the optic comes with a user manual which is more than enough explanation on how to use and what you are seeing in the reticle. I have had and have used every style of mil reticle out there and the mil-R is my number one..... by far.

but what ever floats your boat.....

He either didn't look, or didn't under stand it. I measure known .5 mil objects, and went from there.

Is it junk? Of course not. The horizontal stops at .5, the gap is .6, and the hash begins again at .7 Just don't like the gap in the reticle, I guess.

Get behind a Mil-C. Its set up to hold to the 1/10 Mil. Its awesome!

No issue, you just don't have a Horus type reticle, same as countless others. There will come a point you're holding out in space, if you're holding elevation, and wind simultaneously. The G-2 reticle, in the Bushnell I have is absolutely stellar. I just didn't like the H59, or either one of the Tremor reticles based on what I saw, online. But if you're dialing in elevation, the Mil-C is the best I've used, ever.

Also, I really like the tiny dot, center, center of the reticle. Makes a super fine aiming point for zeroing.

I agree on the Tremor and H59. Was seriously considering the razor gen 2 with the ebr 2c, i really like that reticle but don't think I can take it over the NF

I agree about the reticle, but I wanted the reliability of the NF. There will come a day that there is an ATACR with a Horus based reticle. Until then, I'll keep running the Mil-C. Any time you want to come shoot with it, and give it a test drive, let me know.

With NightForce's acquisition of Horus I really doubt you'll see a different tree reticle from them.

You know better than to bet against a new product being developed. I'll bet you a case of beer, that one day NF will come out with a whole new Horus based reticle, that will satisfy those of us that find the current offerings "too busy".

Lol. Team AI couldn't talk them into it so...... It might happen down the road but they can't produce enough t3 scopes right now.

Wish I knew someone with a Tremor 3, so I could have put my eye behind it, and decide based on that instead of online pics.
