do you think a 6.5 Creedmoor with a 40 degrees shoulder would stop the brass from flowing so much when using Hornady brass.I have a couple other cartridges with 40 degrees shoulders and I have to do very minimal brass trimming.

A ackley would stop almost all flow but is fire forming, gunsmith fee's (reamer, setback) and custom dies worth it?

What dies are you using, bushing or Lee Collet dies will stretch cases less than the standard dies. With the standard dies a good bit of the brass flow occurs during sizing the case as the expander ball is pulled back through expanding the neck.
like Dee said though the AI version would pretty much stop the case stretch or at least slow it down a lot.

I've never had the appeal to AI anything. Too much work, firing forming, for way too little gain in performance.

I've never had the appeal to AI anything. Too much work, firing forming, for way too little gain in performance. on a 223 AI I get a 200 foot per second bump in speed , 10 firings on a piece of brass without having to trim and my fire forming loads shoot sub Moa.That is worth it to me.

the brass flows so much on the Creed after a firing it's ridiculous and my chamber is a match chamber as for changing the shoulder angle I only wanted to go to 40 degrees I did not want to make it a full AI conversion.I am not trying to reinvent the Creed she is perfect as she is I would just like to slow down the damn brass flow ,you should not have to trim every firing. How is the brass doing from Lapua how often are you guys having to trim it .

I've got a match chamber, and trim every other firing.
My answer to any brass flow (6.5 Creedmoor being the least flowing case) has been a Giraud trimmer. 50 pieces of brass in 5 minutes.

That's why Doug made the Giraud brass trimmer. You should get at least 2 firings without having to trim.

Brass flow normally decreases after 2 firings, mostly on third firing I stop trimming.

Also if cases are flowing/growing same you can go over max length within reason without causing any safety issues.
