The yard feeder paid off, and here comes that huge doe (still big pregnant). I hated to run her off, but had to close up the barn, which is a noisy affair. She didn't run, though she did look up at me (75 yards away). Then I got the coon trap out, and she watched me do that. Then the UPS truck showed up at the front gate, so I hopped into the diesel Kubota and drove 150 yards to the gate. She watched me drive by, dust, noisy diesel and all, and she watched me drive back and park at the barn. She just put her head back down and kept on eating. Must be the best corn EVER, or she's gonna have a real litter of fawns.

I have lots of "yard doe" that aren't bothered by much at all.

We tend to have a pet doe at almost every feeder. There always seems to be one that has chose to live right there. They come out when we fill the feeder knowing there will be some spilled corn to gobble up, some will get 50-100 feet.

had a friend of my dad that bottle raised a fawn (mother got caught in fence) in his back yard, when she was big enough, she hopped out, but would come back year after year to raise her fawns in their yard... they would also bring in some good bucks during the rut. Their safe space

There's a dozen or so at my feeder that don't care much what I do 50' away. They seem to listen when I talk to them.

We have on at the house we call Baby, she has dropped a fawn dear my shop for the last 4 years. I walk my 4 dogs every morning between 5 to 6 AM and she pays no attention to them and they leave her alone.
I have a bowhunting place and have a few does that play very little attention at one feeder, sure does draw in the bucks with 3 to 4 does at the feeder and acting like everything is on the up and up.

Sounds like a great opportunity for the rare katana beheading of a deer.
