I recently broke the link arm on my 1980's Turret press ( 3 hole! ) This press has loaded countless thousands of pistol and rifle rounds. It has resized thousands of .223, hundreds of .308. and countless Weatherby cases. I only recently was given an orange press that I now use for the heavy cases! Sent an inquiry to Lee via email. All paraphrased ....each response was within 24 hours! Incredible! To : I broke the link arm on my 1980's turret press, how do I get a replacement? Lee: Send us pictures please. Its under warranty for parts. TO : Pictures sent. This is an old press! Lee: Thank you. We changed the design, these are the parts you need. You can send us the press for free fix, or send us the parts for free replacement, or order the parts but pay shipping. To: Free parts ordered, why waste time sending in broken parts, I can press out old pins and repair myself. Shipping was $7.00 Lee: tracking numbers sent. 3 days later parts arrive. Assembly starts, we missed that they changed to a link bolt from a link pin and there is a little to much free play in the link arm. Call to Lee ( Telephone this time) : Think we missed something, explain situation. Lee: Additional parts will be sent immediately. Lee sends shipping notification later that day, no charges. Parts arrive 4 days later. They sent extra.
Press assembled and working beautifully.
Just for the record, I have a Dillon 650, I have an Lyman T-Mag press, and I have this RED press that I started with in 1985.... Dillon customer service is legendary, I know that first hand, but I was really surprised at the response times from Lee. I could have thrown the press out and I would have been way ahead of the game on costs saved. I like this press for working up loads. I can size and clean and prep ahead of time and then load up a turret with belling ( for pistol ) or powder funnel ( for rifle), another die for seating, and another die for crimp, whether it be a slight taper crimp on pistol or collet crimp on 30-30 or .223 or .308 ( used in a semi ... not wanting to start a crimp or no crimp argument).
Say what you want about Lee but for the record I am still a happy customer.

The very few times I've ever had to use their customer service I've had outcomes similar to yours. Good stuff!

Thanks for the report. I've been a Lee customer since the '60s. Lee Loaders for every rifle cartridge I shoot, I think about 27 of them, single stage, turret, and five progressive presses. 50+ custom molds and all kinds of other stuff. 10,000 rounds a year for decades. Lee is an outstanding outfit to do business with.

Only used their customer service one time and it was good.
I also emailed them sent the picture they requested and they paid all costs including shipping, but the part I broke was only days old, which might have something to do with it.

Broke a primer pin pushing out military crimped primers. Called them, they said send in a picture and I did. They asked for my address and sent tracking number later that day. They sent two parts and didn't charge shipping. That's why they will continue to get my business.

Been reloading with Lee for decades, and never have had a problem with them. I know that there are some reloading snobs that look down their noses at Lee reloading products. And I guess if your goal is all-in-one-hole at 800 yards, the pricier reloading dies and equipment will deliver that precision. For this old hunter, Lee's work just fine, and their customer service, on the rare occasions I've had to use it, has been excellent!!

Good to hear. I've never needed to use their customer service and love the factory crimp dies.
One shot is all it should take.
