Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend FiremanJGs Precision Rifle Instruction Class, and I have to say I was impressed. You will have a hard time finding someone with more real world knowledge and skill than Jason.
The class itself is very well planned and extremely informative, and obviously based on real world experience. Covering everything from sight alignment, to trigger control, affects of terrain, ballistic coefficients and muzzle velocity. The range is a shooters dream, and Jason makes getting to 800 yards as easy as going to the grocery store. After shooting prone and accumulating dope for your rifle, the fun begins. He demonstrates scenarios that most hunters have used, shooting from improvised rests ranging from 1 to 4 feet high, a railing, and his new favorite, a downed tree. Although most have shot these positions while in the woods, his techniques make them much more effective. I still have a hard time believing that I hit targets at 400 yards while folded around a tree limb!
I've been shooting for 30 years, and I walked with a wealth of knowledge, and new methods that I know will help me as time goes on. I can't say enough good things about the class, and Jason is one of the nicest people you will have the chance to meet. If anyone has any questions, please let me know.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

You will really enjoy the time spent out there. I cannot put into words how much fun and knowledge I gained with my dad shooting that course. Dad got to shoot the suppressed 7-08 and thought that was just the coolest frigging thing ever.

It's worth it. Don't think you're getting budget instruction just because his class is cheap!

Word of caution....You will come away wanting new gun and new glass and an itch to start reloading if you don't already. He's cost me a fortune. Damn you JG!

Like yards to meters or sight hieght. Swapped the old gen 1 razor for better glass too. The vortex dumped me on day two and gave me a .2mil random shift (.1 either way) which is never good in Oklahoma or lone survivor both matches with small targets.

Well you know what scope I'm running now. Can't use that for an excuse. And I don't own a Kestrel since it was stolen last year . $9.95 app seems to do fine.
But their wind, their distances, and their target sizes dang sure make it tough, no matter what equipment you show up with!
