Does anyone have a recipe to make bread and butter pickles with a little heat in them?
Thanks

PM Payne. He makes a lot of them.

Peel and slice cukes into silver dollar size 1/4" thick. Add a good bit of sliced yellow onion and mix it up in a really big bowl. Salt and pepper to taste plus a little more. Add a good bit of sugar and mix it again. Let it sit in the fridge an hour or so to rest, then pull it and sprinkle with olive oil and apple cider vinegar. Adjust the seasoning until the juice tastes right to you. Find a jar with a good cap gasket. Stuff the cukes and onions in the jar. Add fresh japs to up the heat. Fill the jar and top off with juice. Put in fridge, ready to eat in a few hours.
