Something that prehistoric and that large, I would go ahead and say its bite is competent and more than able to subdue its prey. To let it bite you on purpose shouldn't enter your mind.

To be fair, you made a fish with sharp teeth bite you for absolutely no reason and posted the video. Did you think this thread was going to be a big bro fest with everyone patting you on the back? Surely you knew where this would go when you posted it.

Flower loves Alligator Gar, that's cool. I'm a fisherman too. It's the preaching that gets old to some, just sayin'. I personally like to eat alligator gar and find them fun to shoot with a bow. I have a buddy from S Louisiana that makes a good little chunk of money every year filling boats with them/cleaning them & selling to restaurants/fish markets. There is no shortage of them. I agree, they are really cool. I've had some close encounters with some pretty big gar fish that I will always remember. No, they are not aggressive for the most part and are definitely prehistoric. I won't just kill them.

Forcing a bite reminds me of when I was a deck hand on the offshore boats. Had a first mate that was showing off in front of a pretty girl and forced a full grown Atlantic Sharpnose Shark (3 1/2 ft or so) to bite him through his thick blue rubber (rubber) glove. Got a hold of him and tore his hand up pretty good. He danced around like a little girl once those teeth sunk in and it shook a few times. He bled & squealed and then left me to take care of 40 customers by myself LOL. Cut & tie leaders/bait hooks/gaff fish/untangle/sell concession/clean blood and vomit..the whole time he was pampering himself LOL.

I'm guilty though. Two days ago I let a Garner Snake bite me. I am always on my little ones about what to do if you see a snake etc on the property...My baby girl though wants to handle/be friends with all living things so....I grabbed the snake far enough back that it could bite me. It latched on to my hand and I put on a show. I pried it's jaws loose and let it go, then the blood came. I then told her that since I got bit by a snake the next full moon I was going to turn into one.......I think I freaked her out. Maybe I shouldn't have done that.

Trolling for views. You want everyone to click on your video so you can get paid, right?

Do y'all know why news channels get watched so much? It's because it's presented in a way to get a reaction, CNN has two kinds of viewers ones that want to hear what they say bad about Trump so they can be mad and gripe about it and the others want to hear what they have to say good about Trunp so they can agree and feel like they are on a team, both are counted the same on ratings. Each and everytime one of you responds or looks at these threads you are driving up ratings. I've sat and watched these threads and laughed each time there's another view either of the video or this thread. You are all getting played by even getting on here and griping about it. I personally like the videos but my view doesn't count anymore than yours that hate them. The more people that see it the more people that will see it. There's gonna be a little fire next to thread telling people it's hot and then more people will look. Try ignoring what you don't like and it will be a lot more likely to go away. When an opinion is voiced its very often not what the voice says that matters but that the voice was heard at all. Keep talking about it and it will keep being a thing.

Test doesn't seem accurate to me. How can a fish on land starving for air give a true bite. Kinda seems a bit cruel to keep him out so long for your enjoyment. Put one in water and get it to bite you or try atleast.

exactly he is so proud to praise the great gar but has no problem hooking them, stressing them out, and then posing for pictures with them unable to breathe out of the water just for his pleasure
