So I just finished making a 4x6, plywood deer blind. Sheet metal roof etc. I put a couple of small shelves (8"x8") on each side. The blind has 2 front windows and side windows. I will also be putting in carpet to dampen the sound.
Limited in space so I don't want to go crazy on stuff. Thought about placing a couple of hooks to hang jackets etc. Anything else I am missing? Oh I do have a small propane heater. Should keep me and the wife toasty.
I am also making a 4x8 this week as well for my lease partner.

I'm building a 4X6 as well. I'm putting a 6" shelf all the way around the front and sides of mine for a rifle rest just under the windows. Going to put red LED lights under the shelves in a switch. Plan on putting a USB port or two to charge phones. All of this will be run off a 12V battery with a solar panel wired and secured to the outside roof. Also thinking about putting a blinking red light on the outside so it makes it easier to find in the dark.

Just built a 4x6 as well and did a 6 inch shelf all the way around and went with deer view windows. Put down some moisture/sound barrier under the carpet and it really helped to quiet it down. All my other efforts went towards sealing it nice and tight so I don't have to worry about moisture, bugs, or animals getting in.

I just built a 6.5x8, floor has a thick area rug that my wife got rid of, will be installing 3/4 foam board between studs painted black, deer view windows, old recliner my wife was tired of, and two hinged shooting rest for the windows facing the feeders. Future add ons may be two 12v batteries connected in series to a 3000w converter to run a receptacle and TV to watch college football.

Just finished up a 4x6 using StretchR's plan and modified them to have a modular build. Inside is painted chocolate brown except for window trim which is clay colored. I like the contrast especially in low light conditions so I accidentally don't bump the window raising my rifle. I/O carpet remnant. Extra wide door (28") with 3 36" and 1 48" Deerview windows. Padded cutouts in 2 corners for rifle rest and 4 small shelves. A few hooks for coats, calls etc.

Just a thought for those of you installing batteries. I have a 7" digital TV in one of mine. I use 2" PVC as a mast with rabbit ears on top. I power it by means of a Jump-N-Carry type jump starter. I have a ranger that I have a 1500 lb. winch mounted in the bed to help loading hogs/deer or whatever, and I use the same jump starter to power it also. I like it because you can take it home recharge it. I also have Insulated my blinds which helps greatly with noise and weather of course. Five inch carpeted shelves around the windows and lower for coffee or Koolaid and a larger one towards the top of the pitched roof. Small Mr. Heater, hooks for jackets caps ect., solar panel on the outside charging a spare 12 volt deer feeder battery and 12 volt leds (red) switched inside under the shelves. Let you mind go crazy, take your time and have fun building it. You will get greif from others, but who cares.
Good Luck

I use a high back office/desk chair with arm rests. I'd also put one or two shelves high to put things on that's out of the way.

wasp spray, extra LP cans (the little ones), Toilet Paper, propane lighter for heater lighting backup.
For the blind itself, I use the spray foam to seal the edges and corners and roof. And last year, Home Depot had a spray foam that included an insecticide. I used it on the most recent blind, and have no bugs and no wasps, though I did see a spider or two today. I also take a bicycle inner tube, slice it lengthwise, and nail or staple it over the door edge on the hinge side of the door. Keeps out bugs and rain. And I have recently added rain deflectors above each window. That was a good addition.
Also put racks built into the inside of the door, to hold the bug spray, mosquito spray, etc.

I have carpet squares from the Salvation Army Re-Store for noise block. Also have piston window props to keep the windows open and not bang - $11 on Amazon. A $5 spice rack from Ikea holds the coffee, binos and the ipad for my 6 year old. A shelf in the back top corner stores a small propane heater, extra batteries, blind bag and anything else we could kick around. A few coated utility hooks for hanging stuff or propping up the rifle. I also have a fold out cup holder for the guest chair. My blind is only 4x4 No pest strips are changed every 2 months and I have never found a living insect in my blind. If that's not enough I put up remote controlled LED string lights in the duck blind so we can get set up / see if there's any unplanned guests in the morning.

I use a laser rangefinder in every blind. Distance to feeders is marked near the window for distance estimation.. Easy peasy shooting reference.

You could put in a horse stall mat instead of the carpet. They're 3/4" thick and dampen the sound a lot better than carpet. Tractor Supply has them for $40-$50. A pee pipe wouldn't be a bad addition either.

You can get stall mats at TS for $20-$25. We have them under our canopy at camp. Great product.

Mental note on the horse stall mat for TS, it's friggin HEAVY!!! those of you I should thank for that idea I should also curse for the three days of back pain One tip I'll add is, on the outside corners I sprayed that "only seen on TV" Flex Seal on all the corners (exterior) and board ends to hopefully extend the life of my blind.

I found a great little stick on light for just inside my door. Works off of a couple AAA batteries. Found mine at Academy.

LOL! Yes, I failed to mention that part, they are pretty heavy! I measured the inside dimensions of my blind and cut the mat before I got it up to the blind. I then rolled it up, tied it up and unrolled it inside the blind.

Shelve(s) up high are a must for storage. I keep extra binos, heater, water and a roll of TP on mine.
