I'm going to eventually here soon purchase a grill guard...been meaning to just never got around to it. What is a good grill guard to purchase for the newer model 1500's? I don't want nothing too bulky but I do want to find one I can mount lights and a wench eventually or one that comes with those accessories already. On my old ford I used a ranch hand grill guard.

Go check out bumpersuperstore.com
Great place to see a lot of different brands, then you can go to their sites and figure out who your local dealers are.
I'm liking the stuff from Fab Fours myself.

Might be hard to find a grill guard with a sturdy winch mount unless you fab one yourself. I know somebody that used to use his truck for recoveries in the snow. He had a steel bumper with a winch mount and it bent the bumper to hell and back winching someone out. Brand was MOVE Bumpers - they're pretty cheap if you can weld them yourself. He said it wouldn't have bent up if he would have followed his gut and welded extra supports when he assembled it. They are weld-it-yourself bumpers. If you know how to weld it could be a pretty cheap option but definitely support it better if using a winch on it.

I was told Brown Mfg. was not making bumpers now. What they did make was solid.
