to get a barrel threaded for suppressor or muzzle brake, what difference would the brand of rifle make? None. It has to do with the size of the barrel on the rifle. The type of rifle might come into to play. But for threading purposes, a barrel is a barrel.

Morgan at Dallas Shooting Supply here on the board is highly recommended and very reasonably priced. Why don't you send your rifle to him?

Only difference it would make is for people with small lathes who have to pull the barrels. Your typical guy running a little 12x36 chinese lathe will have to pull the barrel most of the time.
Some actions are very hard to get out.
I run large industrial lathes, so brand doesn't matter to me. My 3.2 inch spindle bore will swallow any of them.
