Those look great....pardon my ignorance but how dense is sycamore? Will it show wear soon or resist "cuts" like seasoned oak?

It has an interlocked grain but not as dense as oak. It has been used for butcher block tops, rolling pins and cutting and bread boards. Quarter sawn is the most recognized for it's grain. It should hold up pretty well. Mostly some sentimental gifts for my sisters and a niece.
