2015 Chevy 1500 Crew 4x4 Shortbox--- 2" level upfront.

Currently running the original Duratracs (265/65r18) and all 69,000 miles from when the truck was new are on them. Needless to say, time for a new set.

I want to go up a size to better fill out the wheel wells, along with something slightly better when it is wet/muddy. I found the duratracs to slip more than the Wrangler Authoritys that I had on my '01 Silverado.

1. Will 275/70r18 be fine for size without rubbing or needing to trim?

2. Best choice between Nitto Ridge Grappler, Nitto Exo Grappler or Toyo R/T?? Any other good options I might have missed?

I just put 275/70/18s BFG AT KO 2s on my F150..
Haven't had them in mud yet but drove all over the lease on Saturday and they did great in soft sand and some loose rocky climbs..

The BFG AT Knock outs are not great in mud. But then again when you are sunk in mud up to your bed, nothing's gonna pull you out of that suction except another vehicle.

I have been very pleased with my bfg at ko's on my f150.

When looking at all the reviews, I saw a lot of negative reviews regarding tread life on Nitto's. I have no experience with them though so it's a biased opinion. That being said, I did buy the Toyo Open Country RT's back in September and have absolutely loved them. Excellent tire, very low road hum, excellent in mud, fine in rain. It's a great tire.

I cant' comment on sizing however.

Did you order the Toyo's online or find a place that has them?

Out of those three choices there...I would go with the Toyo R/T.

I had 4 Wheels Parts in Coppell put a leveling kit on and I bought some new rims to go with the tires. It being a holiday weekend they may be running a special. Definitely worth the call. They had them in stock.

I know that Discount Tire will order them for you as well. They usually don't keep them in stock though.

****I just checked. Their website says "UP TO 20% OFF SITE WIDE". I would definitely call 4 Wheel Parts and see what the pricing is today.

Not bad the price between Exo, Ridge and R/T is within $50.... Any idea what their tire install cost is?

I don't recall. Call the local shop nearest you and have them give you an "Out The Door" quote. They were very helpful when I dealt with them on the phone and in person.

I bought my last tire and rim package off this site and they were shipped to me mounted and balanced. I only bought from here cause I got a good deal on a package(tire/rim)...Idk about the compared prices of tires on here to other places like discount though. Normally if I want just tires I go to my local tire shop and the boss hooks me up.

I put Cooper Discoverer ATP 275/70-18 on my last truck and really liked them. They were awesome in mud and rain. They rode a little stiffer than factory because they were 10 ply and I had them on a half ton. They were a little noisy but I had factory Goodyear street tires so that should have been expected.
