How many acres do you need to get MLD tags? What are the requirements?

Counties can set their own minimum acreages, some do, some don't.
You'll have to check with your CAD to see if they have an acreage requirement.

The property must already be 1-D ag or 1-D-1 open space property tax valuation.

Try the TPWD - MLDP webpage, it answers all your questions.

^^This and you can shoot a call to your local extension agent and/or call TPWD directly and find out who the local biologist is in your area they work with.

The old LAMPS and MLD programs are going away. There will be two new MLDP programs- one for conservation and one for harvest. According to the TP&W website that link should be available July 1.
