I want to shoot 80gr in my Savage 12 LPV 223 and have to shoot it as a single shot. Have heard of a device called a bob sled that makes this a simple process. Has anyone seen or used this device. Where would I find it?

Sharp Shooters Supply is the best place to get the sleds. I run a single shot adapter from Midway, goes on top of the magazine follower and can be removed if you want to go back to magazine fed.

Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Is yours the 7 twist? I have a buddy shooting 77 SMK's in his with good results. I've been shooting the 75 BTHP in my 8 twist Tikka but I'm thinking about going to the 77 or 80.

Texan, yes mine is the 7 twist and the 80 gr shoot fantastic. Only problem is they cannot be loaded from the magazine so it becomes a single shot. The 77's shoot extremely good also and can be shot from the magazine. I also have a 8 Tikka , shoots the 77s great but have not tried the 80s in it.

My 8 twist Tikka is shooting 75 BTHP insanely well. What powder are you using?
