I started with this.

And, ended with this.

They tastes better than they look. I had to stack them in the pot. I'll have eight to freeze.

Love stuffed bell peppers. I usually cook mine in the oven and pour sauce over top of them like a meat loaf. I need to make some now.

I would like to make them, but I can not afford ground sirloin. I only got ground up Axis.

You think ground sirloin is expensive, put a price on the venison. The scratch cornbread was another highlight of dinner tonight.

The wife tried them for the first time yesterday. I told her, "If my mom can do it, anybody can do it." (Mom freely admits, even to this day, that cooking was not her forte.) They tasted good, but she didn't have instant rice. The rice wasn't quite done. I kept my mouth shut, which in itself, is an amazing thing.

I used regular rice. I baked then for an hour and fifteen minutes in a covered pot.

I stuff mine with 1/2 Thai sticky rice and seasoned ground meat of some sort. I salt and pepper the hulls before stuffing. Then into a glass baking dish in a single layer and top with ketchup and SPG, then bake til the hulls are done.

They freeze great.
