Wild animals can be dangerous.

This came weeks after his buddy was killed. Hmmmm.

It's sad of course, but they don't call it dangerous game for nothing.

This is why I pray everyday for societal collapse so the purge can take place.

The left consistently demonstrates a level of basic civility slightly beneath that of a cannibalistic rat.

And they will disapear shortly after we get the green light.

Life has its choices. If I go rock climbing, fall and kill myself, its not a tragedy...its just my fault. If I go backpack elk hunting and die of exposure...its my fault. You go hunt BIG animals and one kills you...its your fault.

I have been reading Capstick's "Death in the Long Grass" and highly recommend it. Cool part is that it is my youngest daughters favorite book right now and our bedtime read before the lights go out. Obviously lots of people die in it. PH got mauled by a lion and died and she said "that's sad". I said exactly what you said, it wasn't sad. You choose to hunt lions in Africa, you might end up dead and all those guys knew it. There is also the joke in the book that the black in elephant feet is from trampling natives, black obviously and I explained that part. So she told my wife later that the stuff between elephants toes is dead black people - that got me an arched eyebrow at the dinner table.....

So...by this standard, if you choose to drive to work this morning and you are killed by a drunk driver, then it is your fault because you chose to go to work?

Fellas, I could be wrong but I don't think the point of the thread was to establish when one's number is up, it was to point out the scum that want their attention for talking ill of the dead.

No, that's actually not analogous.

The nature of rock climbing is dangerous. The nature of bow hunting for grizzlies and other dangerous game can spell death. You die taking on a hobby (i.e. you don't need to do it) that carries substantial risk, you chose to do so.

Driving to work does not carry high levels of danger. Yes, I get that there are more deaths on the highway each year than there are rock climbing, but if you normalize it by participation hours, rock climbing, cliff diving, etc are much, much more dangerous. Furthermore, driving to work is not a hobby you can just not do unless you were born independently wealthy.

So in summary, swing and a miss.

From the article:

"Others were unsympathetic, many leaving hateful, obscenity-laden comments on photos of Botha and his wife because of the work he did."
