What do y'all think? I was just trying to break up the outline with the paint job.

appreciate it. It a little heavy but I'll have 3 other guys helping me load it and get it in place. Gonna put it on 20 inch post and then tie each corner down with a picket and some cable. Ready to get this project over with but got to wait on windows.

I know the feeling, I built 6 in one year, our stands were getting very old and I was tired of fighting owls, wasp, scorpions, bats, and the occasional coon (that's a fight). Deer blinds and deer leases require constant maintenance but I love it.

Had some leftover water barrier/sound deadening floor insulation so put that on the floor then Carpeted it and let me tell ya it made a huge difference it's very quiet in there.

Very nice. I have built several blinds using the same general design. The first one I painted the inside after it was done. After a few years the OSB siding layers were lifting a bit (maybe I bought the cheap stuff) and making for a rough surface that snagged and held dust and bugs. A few coats of OOPs paint ($7) from Home Depot sealed it right up and the problem went away. The next ones I laid the siding on the garage floor and painted it before I put it up.

The stuff I used is exterior smart siding it comes primed on the outside and is made for outside. I used it on my shed like 5 yrs ago and its holding up like new. It's like 30 bucks a sheet but if it lasts a long time it's worth it IMO.

The new siding that they carry at Home Depot seems to be much smoother on the back side and more dense than what I bought previously. Probably could skip the painting. But I am done building blinds, I hope. The ones I have will outlast me.

Got t my blind in place yesterday and I'd say it blends in pretty well. Got to wait till August to do some trimming bc of Ft Hood rules but once I can trim I'll have some great shooting lanes. Pic was taken by the feeder.

Well the blind made it through the first year with flying colors. Haven’t had a single bug get in so far, no way in or out lol. Did go make a slight upgrade today. I added some camo net over the windows as they are a little big and it was hard to move around in daylight and not get spotted. Only thing left to do is paint the whole I side either black or dark brown.
