As a high school Ag teacher I am always looking for educational and interesting things for my students to do in order to learn more. Earlier this week I took them to Davis Oklahoma to Jantz Knife making supply company. The folks there at Jantz went all out. They practically shut down the factory in order to spend time with my students and teach them the basics of the art and science of knife making. My students were able to spend time with the owner Mr. Jantz himself and then were given a private exhibition from custom knife maker Larry Pridgen. The amount of time, effort and money that they spent on my students is commendable and once again I want to give them a public thank you for all that they did. grin

That's really cool. Wish I would have had field trips like that when I was in school. We just went to the planetarium sleep

Neat story and I'm not surprised that they did that. They're a good company and I've spent a lot of money there.

Great idea but next time take the Home Ec class with you so the gals can learn how to sharpen their knives and the importance of quality cutting implements
cheers

Agreed, they are always very helpful either in person or on the phone. Good folks all around!

That is really nice of them to halt production to any degree.
