Anybody have one of these? I received one when I got my Armasight Zeus scope and have not tried to use it until now. It came with no instruction manual or any other literature regarding it's operation. Can't get in touch with the seller on the weekend so I thought I'd try this. The charger shows that the batteries are fully charged, but whenever I hook it up, the battery power display on my scope flashes red and indicates almost empty. ?? Can it be used in conjunction with the regular batteries in place? Does it have to be used alone? I figure I'll take it and leave it on without the batteries in it and see how long it lasts with a dead battery alert flashing. Maybe I need new batteries for it....I don't know.. Anybody that can help ?

Honestly, I don't have an answer for you, that's very strange. I have a good rep at Armasight and I just sent him an email to see what he has to say. He usually replies, even on weekends or at night, unless he's really busy. If I hear back I'll let you know asap.

Probably a bad battery. It takes those 18250's or whatever the designation is. Just call armasight and see if they can help. If nothing else they can probably sell you replacement parts. Don't use it with regular batteries. I'm pretty sure it's not designed for that and might void the warranty on the scope. I've used the pack quite a bit and I haven't run into much trouble with it. Also take the batteries out and inspect them and make sure they're not corroded and in properly and all that.

they're brand new batteries to me, but I bet they might be old and bad batteries overall. I'll get some "real" new ones and see if they function properly. Thanks guys.

Good deal, let us know what you find out. Sorry I couldn't get you an answer sooner, my Armasight rep it out. I knew when he didn't reply by Sunday something was up.
Let us know how the new batteries work. I bet that solves the problem.

So far I have run that scope with the batt pack on for an hour, with no other batteries installed, and the low indicator light is on constantly.
The picture on my screen however is noticeably BETTER than when I'm running the two small batteries. The clarity is clearer, and is much better along with the edges of all objects being sharper making ID easier.
Cedar posts look like cedar posts and you can see the wire clearly, and animal recognition is great. Much better viewing experience compared to the other , which is not bad by any means.I'm using an Armasight Zeus 640 3x24 x75 30HZ and it's been a great scope. Need to get different mounts though. I have it on my AR with the standard rail mount it comes with. After about 20 shots, zero needs to be checked again. A little wobbly.

Give Collin at Bobro Engineering a call (805) 964-5650 & he'll let you know if they make one for that model. I have one on my Zeus Pro & haven't had any problems with return to zero.

Sounds like you need to make a phone call to them. I sent you the direct contact info you need. Let us know how it works out. - Jason

That Armasight external battery pack, is it around $300 retail? You have a part number?
If its the one I'm thinkin, you could build your packs at a fraction of the cost and power them with high quality 18650's with an amp hour rating to match the length of time you plan to hunt.
A two-cell 18650 battery box DC step down conveerter (drop the combined 7.4v input voltage to 6v output)
....let me spec the parts, I'll get an accurate estimate of the cost to build them.
