I hunt on a pipeline and it gets mowed yearly every September, once it’s mowed the deer are more uncomfortable being in the wide open and it gives them a clear view of a road that is the boarder of our lease that we share with the surrounding leases. Even though the road is 500 yards away from my food plot and feeders once the grass is cut they get spooked. Also the natural grass never gets tall again till next summer

What I’m wanting to do is I would like to make a wall of taller grass so the deer can’t see endlessly down the pipeline. Anyone try this or any ideas to help out?

It's not the road, it's the fact that know they don't have cover from predators. Take out them predators and problem solved cyclo

Go get in the woods

Plant a "fence" of sunflowers across each end of your pipeline. Plant it soon after the mowers have gone through and it should be several feet tall by October and will remain until the mowers come through next year. Next year, repeat. Save some of the seeds to plant next year.

There's only 2 seasons in a year. Deer season and getting ready for deer season.
