My neighbors's year old Brittany has it. Any of you ever dealt with it?

Sudden onset of the inability to close the jaw owing to dysfunction of the mandibular (jaw) branch of the trigeminal nerves (one of the cranial nerves) is a treatable medical condition called trigeminal nerve neuritis (inflammation).

It's still eating. The jaw has dropped down. He's been to a vet and a specialist.

Had a Brittany with it a few years ago (trigeminal neuritis) vet treated her with stroids I believe and she was fine in about 7 days. That was when I learned the benefits of chicken broth, even at her worst, she was able to lap up some chicken broth. Sucks seeing them like that but she had no lingering issues.
