a heck of a lot easier to mow than the square pens especially with a push mower. Found out this past weekend.

Round pens usually keep hogs out since they tend to walk the circle around them then leave. A hog may push into a pen that has a straight side (square pen.) I will put a push mower into the pen and mow down any grass/ weeds in the late summer. Then I will mow a bit around the outside of the pen. You want to keep it "opened-up" so that the deer can see if there is any "danger" lurking in the grass or brush.

Weed eater is pretty quick and easy to transport, then shape doesn't matter as much

I'm lucky I guess. I've never considered mowing the pen around my feeders. This one has been going three weeks and already looks like this.

Glyphosate is so much easier, quicker, and quieter.

I like round pens. We put up two round pens with 8 panels each. I'm pretty sure I could put them up with no T-post and they would keep the hogs out. Only hogs we have get in ours are the ones that walk through the openings (should have used swine panel instead of cattle panel)

Glyphosate is so much easier, quicker, and quieter. You got that right!

If you use a tractor to mow, make them 16 panels around and you can pull inside the pen with your tractor and mow, works like a champ!

Mine is 45x45, yet to have a hog inside except when I left the gate open..... it's all how they are built
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

been against trail cams at this particular pen, but put one up last weekend. Notice a hog cruising around the perimeter while deer are feeding. love the new feed pen. Whether be round or angular, love the hog panels. Will try to get photos, but i delete what was there.

pic of my round pen. I'm not seeing fawns in the pen. Its only 3ft. I would rather keep hogs out than see fawns in.

Good looking pen. Fawns can and eventually will start jumping in a 3' tall pen. As long as feeder doesn't throw outside pen you shouldn't hav a hog problem. But if a big 'ol boar ever gets corn around perimeter he may eventually standup and roll himself over into pen. Good to see you have post in middle of each bracket too.

my pen before this one was tiny and barbed wire, mainly to keep out cows and at the time cheap. Plus I didn't have a pig problem.
