Since any rain at all, April was a very dry month. I sure hope May and June make up for it.

Yep, our place is just south of you and has been dry awhile now. Seems like everything is well east of us this year.

About 16.2 for the year so far at my place. But if we got 10 miles west of me there has already been a few grass fires on the interstate, and you can see a huge difference in the pastures.

Ouch....

Have you guys ever heard of FarmLogs, an app offered by AgriSight? It is available in both phone platforms and will provide a wealth of information about the property you identify; soil composition, rainfall, heat units, even growth imagery of your food plots. Check it out.

For more than a decade, I've been feeding rainfall data for my place into google documents. My dad lives here and his only job has been to feed accurate rainfall measurements via a form. He sees AgriSight as having replaced him!

Here is my data display: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...amp;single=true

The information that I gave about my property came from FarmLogs. As Ranch Dog said, it is free and you can outline your property and they will send you an email anytime you get rain. I like it a lot and have used it on a couple of difference places and been there a couple of times while it was raining and used the old fashioned rain gauge for comparison and it was very very close both times as to what my gauge said and what the email I got the next day said.

I have found that Farm Logs has no correlation with my rainfall. Actually, nothing does. I have 4 neighbors within about a mile from me. We are in a relatively straight line from East to West. One has a Weather Station. None of our gauges agree.

I live on the Ranch and have a rain gauge here, that's how I get my info. Still 7.85" and no rain in sight. Starting to get pretty brown here.

I guess we're due for a dry summer. Last few years have been lush. Protein is going to get expensive. The bucks have been hammering it around the house and at the lease.

2.4" of rain last night. Took 40 days but finally got a good rain. That puts me at 10.25" for the year so far.

We got hammered at our leases north of Baird and west of Moran as well. Looking at the NOAA 24 hour rainfall total it was a pretty localized heavy rain that added up from about Clyde up toward you. Think we got pretty lucky with this one, but I will certainly take it!
