We put up a new trap last weekend that our dozer guy built for us. Just had a friend bait it for the first time today.

That oughta do the trick. Must be nice to have some open areas to work like that...I am mostly stuck with really dense cover and it can be a pain sometimes.

The trigger is the pole that holds up one corner of the of the gate. It is attached to a string so when the sting gets pulled the pole twists and unlatched the gate. I haven't seen one like this before but the guy who built it for us really likes it. I will get a close up picture this weekend.

We placed the trap in between our pasture and a creek where we get a lot of activity.
