Anybody here have one? How well do they work? Can it still be shot as a single shot? Recently the wife shot an AC556 and fell in love with it. I told her no way I was paying $15k for one. Her dad suggested the slide fire and showed her videos, he is now in my [censored] list. Now she wants one, said it was a good compromise.

Wonder what you would look like driving a Toyota 4 cylinder?
BTW, I had my old tune up tool box out last week and the Craftsman timing gun is there in its original box if you ever want to borrow it. Along with dwell/tach and vacuum gauge and compression tester and remote starter etc.

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

You can still get an AC556 for under 10k. It's one of the more budget friendly FAs. Unlike anything by HK.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Or a M249 There aren't many transferable m249s out there, I think I read once there are 2-3, there are a bunch of dealer samples but they can't be transfer except to another dealer. A transferable one went to auction in like 2009 and went for over $200K

Semi auto may not be as fun, but it sure is cheaper.
Are you going to pull those pistols, or whistle Dixie?

Slidefire bump stock works fine. Way cheaper than full auto. They are fun to shoot, just find someone else to pay for the ammo.

I would look at the Fos Tech Echo Trigger or Franklin Armory Binary Trigger. They are less gimmicky than the slidefire. If you want a fast way to burn ammo with out a tax stamp that would get my vote. Personally don't see much practical use for them but as I'm sure you know happy wife, happy life.

Read your post and remembered BCJ's post with videos of both of these triggers in action. http://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/6728235/Re:_Binary_triggers_-_BFS_III_

My son did a build and put a Echo trigger in his and I like the release action, does take some getting use to but can be sweet! The Slid-fires and bump stocks scare me, seen to many guys unload them in ground at firing line or watch them not control them and bullets flying wild!
Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock! 12/26/03-10/25/13

BP, If your wife is really in love with a AC556, there is a simple trick to change a MINI trigger to "binary mode"

I orderd it for a client that likes unique high end guns.
