Ram came back from the taxidermist. Not on the wall yet but here’s a sneak peek:

Man oh man, does he look good!!! I've been waiting for this post! If I lived closer, I'd come over and help you hang him up!!!

Thanks AJ! A couple of friends are coming over next week to help me with that job. He’s going in my new work office above the fireplace. Thankfully the walls are all solid shiplap board so we can just install heavy wood screws where they need to be and put him up. The mount is not nearly as heavy as I expected so everything should go smoothly.

Dewey did his usual fine job on the mount - right down to the little habitat details only I would notice (same grass, little flowers, lichen color, rock color, etc.) He asked for several field photos for reference. Body size was right too - he was half again bigger-bodied than my other two rams. The only tiny thing I would change is maybe the neck size is a touch small because he had a linebacker’s thick neck (see field photos). The neck on the mount was large, but could have been even a little bigger. That’s a nitpick though.

Photos really don’t do him justice. He will provide memories of a great experience up north every time I look at him. If you’re ever up this way be sure and come by for lunch or dinner!
