and what is natures no. 1 control? Resistance built up over 1000's of years. Cattle haven't been around the area long enough for nature to run its resistant course. Doesn't effect Deer

correct, study done in the eastern U.S. shows that where coyotes took out the fox population (that's why I give fox a pass) the tick fever runs rampant After this I may let the fox pass also. I may try the mice nesting material in the barn. Lord knows I try to kill all the vermin, but you can't get them all. Interesting article though.

The owls and KaraKara's give'em hell on my place. They litter the porch of every blind with mouse/rat skeletons.
