All of the old Africa stuff I have read say they aren't great. I have not tried any myself.

I had water buck in Africa. It was quite good and was one of the cooks favorite meats. The Guide said it's all how you skin it.

They are good. I shot a big old bull last year and if cleaned properly they are great tasting

Like has already been said ,all in how you skin the animal . Eaten it in Africa several times and it is very good. Forrest
