In the military they train you to think of your weapon as a woman. So weapons must be like women, why would anyone want to sleep with an ugly woman, or want to hunt with an ugly gun. So very true!
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

I'll share a few. Indoor lighting never shows grain and figure well. The rifle wearing the new Leupold in the outdoor photos is one of the five stolen from me in 2014. Recovered in 2016 thx to a THFer! Three more of the four guns stolen have remarkable wood. Still mia. They were three of my better ones. The prettiest of the bunch here is my bride's Enjoy. p.s. note the scratches and scars on those 'tools'. All rifles are 7mm-08.

fouzman,
those are beautiful, especially the one in the center.
Would you please provide some details about the wood, where you bought the blank, and who did the work?
You are motivating me to try to take a better picture of mine outdoors.

Jeffbird, The bolt gun was built by David Dury in San Antonio. The wood is one of the finer rifle blank sized pieces of English Walnut I've ever seen. I bought the blank from David's brother, Johnny. Johnny travels the country buying/selling precious firearms and large lots of wood, when not running Dury's Gun Shop. The two single shots were built and stocked by Luxus Arms and Luxus Walnut. The wood on both rifles is Circassian Walnut. Don't remember what I paid for those two-piece blanks, but they're much cheaper when Luxus is building your rifle All three are "Special Selection" grade walnut. www.luxuswalnut.com Luxus has some of the finest wood in the business. I've also bought Turkish and Circassian blanks direct from the plant in Adana Turkey through a gentleman named Denli. He's in Zurich and you wire him the money and he will ship the blank(s). Don't worry, Mr. Denli is as good as gold. http://denli-gunstocks.com/en/I've bought one blank from Paul and Sharon Dressel. While the quality was outstanding, the price was a bit much. They may not be in business any longer. http://dressels.com/

Nice rifles fouzman. Cash is the Viagra of wood stocks for rifles. Pay enough - and you get good, durable wood that even your wife thinks is pretty.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

I have only one wood long gun, a Browning BLR. To me it's attractive but I wouldn't say it's fancy - pretty sure nobody would. Bought it new in '11 (?) so it's a Jap-made version. It gets babied like all of my guns and although it goes to the field it's in excellent condition.
My botnet is bigger than yours.

Very nice Mauser sactoller.
Who did the stock?
Really like the wood without checking as it really lets the beauty of the wood show to its fullest.
What are the details on the double rifle?
