Although I'm not selling hunts yet I will be for cull bucks, a few doe, and 1 or 2 trophy bucks. Prices are not set yet. I plan to get updated pictures late this summer and hope to see these two still on the ranch. 587 low fence acres huge neighbors including a 5,300 acre State Park on the south 2 miles of fence.

Answer to some questions.

There is a nice 2 bedroom hunting cabin on the property that comes with the hunt. I would be sitting in the blind with the hunter.

I will only sell 3 maybe 4 hunts in 2017. I'm NOT an outfitter, just a ranch owner looking to sell a few hunts to pay for ranch improvements.

Right now there are 8 feeders and stands. 3 igloo Krivoman blinds, 5 box blinds, and 4 ladder stands, Most locations are set up for bow or rifle. I also just started feeding protein in two locations.

If anyone is serious you may want to come hog hunt or predator hunt the ranch. I try to schedule a hunt for pigs once per month. I just ask the hunter/s bring +/-$200 in feed (whatever I need at the time). This is a one night hunt unless you want more time.

I have video of the deer I can e-mail or get online. We typically see a minimum of 8-12 deer every sit at each location and up to 20+ deer at one time. This is due to lack of pressure on the park.

Anyone possibly interested in a trophy buck next year?

Thursday and Friday I hunted hogs with Tim on his 587 Ranch out of Bend, TX. This, low fence ranch is as perfect of a Hill Country deer place as I have seen, nice log cabin and Jason is a pretty d--n good cook. Tim and his brother Jason have logged a lot of days working to make the ranch an outstanding deer hunting location. Based on the game cam photos from last Fall there is an excellent deer population with some 150"+ bucks in the local population. I doubt that you could hunt one day without seeing turkey and hogs.
Tim and Jason are honest, easy going and friendly boys.

Good to meet you Ray. We enjoy having people out and helping them have a good time. Let me know how that hog tastes. She sure looked tasty. BTW - those were not game camera photos. I took them all while sitting in the blind with a regular camera.

For others, I will not be taking anyone else hog hunting until the end of June. I have one guy coming the end of May and don't want to pressure them any more than that. So June 28th-July 2nd is open for a hunt. After that it will most likely be September before I let anyone hog hunt again.

Antlers starting to grow. I'll post pictures soon. Looks like we will need to kill at least 5-8 "cull" bucks. Most are young nice 8 points or better. Just have too many right now. Seeing 7-8 bucks per doe on each sit already and they just now started hitting the corn again.

Can work out any desired hunt. 1 to 4 days. Doe, cull, trophy. Can do a set price or price plus kill fee. Very flexible.

Bigcat (Tim) and his brother Jason are stand up, honest men and enjoyable in camp. The 587 Ranch is a remote Hill Country ranch (about 21 miles from Lampasas) that has had very little hunting pressure since Tim has owned it and I saw quite a lot of game during the short time I hunted, deer, turkey and hogs. I plan to hunt deer there in 2017. This outfit would be a good father/son/wife or daughter hunt location, because it is safe, comfortable, well managed and you will see game, without breaking the bank.

Thanks Ray. You're an example of why I urge people to come for a relaxing weekend or do a simple hog hunt if they think they may be interested in hunting deer. I haven't had a single person disappointed in any way after they've seen the place.

I've received many PM's and emails over the last week or so. If I didn't get back with anyone please PM, email, or call me again. I have created a little price sheet also. I will be doing things different than most as I want a laid back place to hunt. But we are very strict on game management and will only allow 5 hunts total this year. I want every visitor, and well myself, to see at least 10 deer every time they sit in a stand.

Is that an extra point pointing inward on his left side? If so did he grow it again?

It's not a point growing back towards his head.But he is a 9 point. I plan to go get lots of pictures this next week.

I just need to know what people would pay for deer like that. Or better, what people want in a hunt. Do they want a cheap hunt + a kill fee, a costly hunt with no kill fee, or do they want to pay for a specific deer like the one pictured?

All, Tim is a good guy to deal with, Even his brother is not so bad. This place is gorgeous. You will see LOTS of deer.

The 9 point picture I'd call a trophy. Will sell for what someones willing to pay. He's always close by.

This places is loaded with deer, turkey hunted out here last spring and didn't have a single hunt we didn't see half a dozen deer. Cabin is great with and awesome view.

Just got back from the ranch. I sat once in blinds 1,2, 4, 5 and 6. Jason (my brother) sat in blinds 3 and 7 but didn't have a good camera. We got in the blinds late like 7-7:30 because it was blistering hot. Ran off deer every time. Pics should still give a good idea of what's around.
