I havn't never really had this problem much before, but after getting into my 30's, I have noticed it to hurt a little bit more. Do you older guys get back aches after a long day? I am a project manager in construction, and I don't do the dirty work, just walking climbing sometimes and standing to inspect things are like the high light reel of my day. Theres not much physical labor for the head honcho...did it all in my younger days, but what is yall's favorite way to relaz your back muscles or relieve an ache after a long day. I don't have a slip disk or anything, just back aching from sitting, standing, and moving around all day for extensive hours. Thanks

I might try acupuncture. I really need something to do everynight to relieve and stretch out my back before bed.

Yep stretching no doubt will help. I had back surgery over 10 years ago and finally decided a few years ago that I was going to do something proactive. I went to an Airrosti clinic and they showed me the stretches, core exercises and foam roller remedies that keep me going better than I have in years.

Change to new shoes regularly...and work your core (abdominal and back muscles) as well as your glutes...stretch the hamstrings...should help if it's just muscular.

I have back aches every day. Suck it up snowflake. I do suck it up...just looking for way to stretch it out to relieve pain, instead of hurting 24/7 like you probably do.

Biofreeze and a portable remote controlled tens unit. I really only hurt in the morning after laying in bed all night. Any more than 6 hours and my back hurts so bad I can't sleep. About w0 minutes in a hot shower works the kinks out.

Only three ways to fix back issues...exercise legs, excercise core and surgery

I do workout on a regular. I lift heavy with some ol powerlifting buddies from back in the day. Could that be the issue. We do lift a lot of heavy weight Definitely. Are you always lifting with proper form? Does your back ever hurt after lifting a lot of heavy weight? I wrecked my back last year working for a moving company. Myself and the boss stupidly moved a solid marble dining room table (had to go down 20 stairs) and then moved another table from the basement to the main dining area. The other table was 1" thick glass, about 4'x8' sheet, with a separate driftwood base and it went back up those 20 stairs. This lady had some ridiculous tables. Anyway, along with a ton of time in the hot tub and a lot of stretching, another thing that I think helped quite a bit was decompression therapy at my chiropractor. They also did laser therapy on my low back during the decompression on occasion, but I don't know how much it helped. I do know that my back always felt significantly better after the decompression therapy.

Thanks This is your body's way of telling you there is a muscle imbalance...and you are aging and probably not as active as you used to be. This series of 7 drills can be done in 15 minutes or less per day. It can be utilized as a warm up or if done correctly with increased volume it turns into a short workout. I had back spasms that rendered me immobile. Dry needling and muscle relaxers were the only solution until I could move freely again. I hate taking meds and hate needles even more. This has 'cured' my issues. I am 49 years old and very active and certainly don't want back issues to keep me from doing anything. SAS Drills - Brian Catania

I have lived with back pain going on 40 years. Most of it was in my upper back and neck and would end up causing crushing headaches. I have been to 5 different doctors and tried all types of treatments, injections, physical therapy and finally went to a pain management office and got on a non-opioid prescription. It has worked wonders for ~10 years but over time I am having to increase the dosage. FWIW my daughter gave me some "essential oils" in a roller bottle. She had been talking them up for a couple of months and I finally appeased her and tried it. INSTANT pain relief. I have no clue why but as someone who knows pain I am impressed.

I'd try shoes first. That's usually a big part of my issues.
