Thanks - felt good to weld again. Probably going to give it a fresh coat of paint, lay new wood and be done with it.

I believe fenders are required if you're going to use it on the road.
Yeah, don't listen to me. I'm just an idiot.
Lol. Duckbill that was funny! The dude up top has already taken lots of bone before this deer, both mule and whitetail.

I believe fenders are required if you're going to use it on the road. yep! 9.1.2 Load-bearing fenders constructed of minimum 16-gauge formed steel covering the wheels, with non-slip top surface on fenders and trailer deck. TXDOT Trailer Requirements section 9

Forgot to mention that in my post. I bought new fenders but haven't put them on yet as I haven't found a good way to mount them without welding new supports to them. Thanks for the heads up, when I searched it I couldn't find anywhere that actually said it was required. I will figure out a way to mount them hopefully this weekend

Thanks, I'm happy with how it turned out. New parts: axle, wheels/tires, lights, tongue, side rails, fenders. Practically a brand new trailer for only $250. Wood may come later but for now this'll do. My four wheeler tires rest on the support beams so for the time being no reason to spend the money for wood
