I'll be out for my first time, trying to act like it's not my first time. We'll see how it goes.

I'll be there! We're in the south zone so we should have gone a while back, but my brother threw out his back and my son had to work.

New place, too, but I know they're around every once in a while.

Too early for our county, ours starts mid April. I sure am hearing them starting to gobble though.

will be in Eastland/Stephens county we were up there weekend before last filling feeders( we have 3 feeders set up along a creek and the ponds that the creek feeds all within a 1/4 mile of each other) and I took a phone & small Bluetooth speaker with me & using the Ruger I-Hunt app on my phone was able to call turkeys in with no problem. best I did was Saturday afternoon setting in a tripod blind called 4 toms into 20 yards with out getting busted. we left them alone this past weekend so that will give them 2 full weeks to get over there frustration. will be leaving tomorrow and setting up some decoys after sunset then try for some early Saturday. we may only have Saturday to hunt due to rain coming in Sat evening & early Sunday morning will have to keep track of the weather elmer

Good luck Steve - I was going to go as well but the forecast looks iffy now.

I was out this past Mon thru Wed morning, and almost called in a Tom(s) on every trip out. Tue afternoon, I got on what I thought was 2 Toms and ended up being three. After getting set up, the 2 sounded off, a little to my right, so I scoot myself into position. Then I heard that dreaded "Pluck, Pluck" and looked to my left and right there was a big Tom looking at me. Busted!!!
Let them set for a couple hrs. then got back on them again at a different location. Called all three in and ended up getting a double.
Then I pulled the bow out. Came close a couple of times but couldn't pull it off. This was with no blind and on the ground.
