Is this a thing? A buddy and I were talking about mule deer hunting again and the topic came up. I couldn't recall hearing about these types of hunts or seeing them available in Texas. I hunted a ridiculously over hunted ranch near Paducah a few years back and never connected with nor saw a mature mulie during the season. Any info or insight would be appreciated. I know there are MLD tags or permits for mule deer doe in some areas, but again I don't recall seeing any hunts available.

they sell management mule deer hunts but they aren't all that cheap either
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

The reason you don't see many cull or doe hunts for mulies is the very short season. I sell a few, but they are typically Day Hunts without lodging for local hunters. And I'm squeezing them in between trophy hunts so many are setup last minute.

Not much motivation to sell less expensive hunts when most are after only the big boys. Short season/limited time has to be the biggest factor. Thanks
