I'm in the market for a scope for my DPMS LR-308. I want it for short range hunting, will probably only shoot 150 yards or so and at running animals. I have a Burris XTR 1-4 on my ar15 that is pretty handy and was thinking about something similar. Its nice to be able to put it on 1x power and shoot at a moving target. It would be nice to have a lighted center dot or reticle that would turn itself off if I forget.
I will be carrying this around in my truck quite a bit to shoot at random hogs and coyotes while driving around the ranch so I would like it to be about to be banged around some. Hoping to keep cost in the $500-$700 range.

Copy and paste this in your browser. For some reason, the hyper link is not directing to the options in your budget with illuminated reticles.

I like my Strike Eagle 1x6 on my AR10 7mm08, normally around $329. 1x6 strikeforce I just saw that they now make a 1x8 strikeforce. 1x8 Strikeforce SWFA has the 1x6 on sale now. 1x6 with extras on sale

Skyler, I looked at your website. It has nice search functions to let you narrow down your choices.
Does any other scope manufacturer have the motion sensor to shut off the illumination like Leupold?

BTW I ended up going with the Vortex 1-6 Strike Eagle, it was on sale with some extras that was too good to pass up.

That new search was something we have be requested by so many customers. Many people demanded several things from us; Live inventory updated search results active filters ect... The new site has a good foundation and we are updating the site with new details everyday to make everyone's purchase experience better.

Got the scope in today, that was fast shipping!
It looks awesome, one thing that isn't listed on the website is that it includes Vortex scope covers that are really nice.
