Armalite .223 Wylde with a 1:8 twist. I'm gonna hunt with Barnes TSX in 62 & 70 grain. As far as over-the-counter ammunition, give me some idea on what to buy for target shooting. Brand,Weight, and bullet type would be very helpful. Tell me what works and doesn't work. Thanks in advance

We've shot a bunch of the freedom munitions 60gr soft point remanufactured ammo and had great luck with it. To me, it's the best blasty ammo; relatively cheap for brass, I like soft point even for blast you ammo as it's safer (meaning less susceptible to ricochet however unlikely) and they're reliable. I've shot several hundred and maybe had a couple duds.

As far as brass case ammo, what's a preferred bullet type FMJ or a soft/ hollow point? What are pros and cons of say American Eagle, Remington PMC, or Hornandy. Feedback is appreciated and thanks.

Every gun is different so what shoots well in someone elses gun wont help you at all. Price and availability at academy is all I care about. Whatever is cheapest I use to plink with. But trying different possible hunting ammos is a good thing. Go shoot it. That is the fun part.

GO TRUMP!

I've had great luck with the Black Hills 77g sierra match kings. Very accurate and deadly medicine for hunting.

I shoot the Monarch poly coated steel case stuff. It shoots decent in my rifle and is cheap.

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.
