Went hunting with Alex on Saint Patrick's Day up in Clay County. On the first field, we got into two sounders that eventually merged into one before we opened up. Alex took those that went to the left and I took those going to the right. My targets were limited to mostly distant runners and to piglets and the distant runners proved to be difficult targets. Two finally came to a stop at the far end of the pasture and I worked to drop one. The first time I hit him was apparently on a skip. Alex provided me with a distance correction (estimated at 400-500 yards) and I doubled my hold over the hog and dropped it on the very next shot. Given the holdover and comparing with ballistics data, that would put the shot at >375 yards, my longest thermal kill to date.

Nice! I haven't got a kill that far even in daylight....itching to get out and shoot some hogs but just don't have the time in my near future. Bummer, because I am sure they are there...frustrating.
