I rescued this barn owl 2 weeks ago. He was hit by a car and I found him on the shoulder on the highway. After a brief and no-doubt hilarious roadside struggle, I managed to get him in the truck and called the local game warden. He directed me to a bird rehab specialist, and we met her with the bird. I'm happy to say that he recovered beautifully and was released back into the wilds of Hunt County today. Me and my son are happy to help a little feathery friend in need.

Well played! Great pic.

I really like having those birds around. They hammer the rodents, but also the skunks!

cheers
