Anybody ever had one of these HHA sights? I called HHA Sports recently and asked them if they still made this sight and had any info on it. I gave my manual away when I traded my bow in over 12 years ago. Well recently I found my bow up for sale on eBay and got it back so I was hoping to get some info on it but they don't have any on it. It's the HHA Optimizer Lite Elite TX-5500 with the 2" housing and rheostat with I believe 10' of fiber optics on it. It has a click knob on the side that I don't see in any of their other models that I have seen on the internet. I can't even find a used one for sale anywhere to pick up for spare parts. I bought it back in 2003 when ordering one for my buddies birthday present and I guess they stopped making them a little while after that. This is my favorite sight so far and I have shot my best with this set up so that's why I bought the bow back. When I ordered the right handed model for my buddies present, I decided to order one for myself too. Well I am a lefty and they were out of the left handed model at the time so they told me to try the right handed model with the sight housing upside down and they would give me a discount. They also said that if I didn't like it then they would pay for the shipping back and send me out a lefty when they had them back in stock for the same cheaper price. That was pretty cool of them to do and I actually liked it set up upside down. I do not sky draw but when I draw my bow, I usually have to bring my bow arm down 2 inches in to the target so with the level on the top and the pin running from top down, I can level my bow while sighting my bow down to a target and with the extra room on the bottom of the housing, I somehow seem to shoot better groups at longer distances. Somehow it just works for me. They said that others have done this and ordered reverse handed models lately. Even some employees have gone this way. Maybe they will start coming out with models like this in the future. Who knows. The sight is well built, the pin is nice and small, the insane amount of fiber optics makes the pin more than visible and the micro adjuster on the side is a nice feature.

The housing rolls back a lot farther exposing more fiber optics wrap.

I'm not a fan of the single pin sight but if it works for you that's fantastic.

Yeah it works perfect for my hunting situations. If I was hunting from the tree line and shooting in to a field or a wide open area then I would use a 5 pin sight. I find it crazy that nobody has used this sight before. Even on an old forum post, someone was asking others if they used it when they were available from HHA and nobody has tried one out. One sight style I will never go back to is the vertical inline pin style. I got the Trophy Ridge vertical inline 5 pin sight when they first came out and had to keep swapping them out till I got one that didn't have bent pins. Copper John's and Spot Hogg sights seem to come a long way from their first models.

I am not really a fan of single pin sights for hunting but for target they work very well. The TR react pro vertical 5 pin sight is nice and set 2 pins and you are on out to 60 yards. HHA does make some very nice sights with my current favorite of theirs being the King Pin.

SpotHogg makes some very tough and good sights these days. Nothing wrong with Copper John sights either.

Tru-Glo makes some single pin sights that the HHA tapes work well on.

I use HHA sights (XL-5500), but I have never mounted one "wrong hand" like that. Kind of cool. I am a recent transplant from PA and in the eastern whitetail woods my shots were generally in the 15-25 yard range so I just kept mine set at 20. I love the open sight picture of the single pin. Plus if I did get the rare shot farther out it was easy to adjust and be right on the money. I practiced out to 55 regularly at home and I have become a big fan of the single pin sights.

Been shooting HHA single pin sights quite a while, I think it is like yours , anyway it has adjustment knobs fro windage and elevation. Great sight.
If you need parts call HHA . Forrest

Oh, OMG. very old

With the multiplicity of the options for the best compound bows, many may end up deciding in haste. Nonetheless, at all times, you have to decide beyond price.
